Well damn! You know that scene in Jurassic Park that makes all the IT geeks cringe? The one where the young girl gets behind a computer, exclaims that "This is Unix! I know this and proceeds to save the day? Yeah? Turns out that it actually -was- Unix! |
FSN (for File System Navigator) to be precise, which was a 3D user interface made by Silicon Graphics for their IRIX operating system. Well I'll be damned!
Rest assured though: the stuff shown in Hackers is still fake ^_^;
