Ah, good stuff! ^_^
Yesterday we cooked a very nice meal and it was one of the first times since ages that Marli spent a lot of the time cooking. She made the pork potroast and left the other stuff to me. The meat turned out absolutely stunning, which greatly motivated her to cook again! So tonight we're making potroast again, but this time it's beef. :) She seems so enthused about it all that I deem it highly likely that she'll start cooking more and more. Awesome!
Also, a little while ago Niels-sama gifted us his old rice cooker (he bought a new one in Japan). Let me tell you, this thing takes all the effort out of cooking rice! Just measure off the ingredients, turn on the machine and you'll have perfectly cooked rice that is kept warm and steamy until you're ready to eat. Wonderful!
It's been a while since I really enjoyed cooking, so this is certainly a nice change :)

Type stuff into your new Palm. Niels, you -do- have a computer with Bluetooth right? I haven't had to enter any new contacts ever since I had my first iBook.
Seriously, Bluetooth syncing is the shit! ^_^
Also, that rice cooker really is awesome. It takes all the effort out of cooking rice, though if you leave it for an hour or two it does become a little bit crunchy. Maybe I should've added just a -little- bit more water.

Yay for lice cooker!
I was considering one but they were a bit too bulky to sneak into my luggage.

Well, don't the Asian supermarkets in Finland sell rice cookers? Over here in the NL they do, and at reasonable prices.
Ours is big enough for six cups of rice, but it will also gladly cook 1 or even half a cup. Half a cup is one portion for me, so it's great. I wish I had a timed wallplug, so I could automatically start the cooker at 0500. Mmm, fresh rice for breakfast!
Now there's an idea! Add some miso soup and I'm set!

Sadly asian supermarkets here are rather scarce, and therefor extremely expensive :(

Yeah, we know. It's just that a rice cooker takes the effort out of making good rice. Besides, it also keeps the rice nice and warm, until you're read to eat.
